The Journey from Boardrooms to Bedtime Stories
Suits & Pajamas™ began with me. A woman who never quite fit the mold because the mold wasn’t made for me.
Born in Texas and raised in poverty, my journey didn’t start with a trust fund. I was told I was too dark, too poor, too ambitious, too emotional. But what others saw as “too much” became the foundation of my power.
I attended 11 different schools before finishing high school, each transition a reminder that stability was a luxury. I survived bullying, rejection, and abandonment by people meant to protect me. But none of it broke me. Instead, it built a spine of steel and a heart full of fire.
Before I ever held a title, I was already leading…from the margins, not the center. I learned to listen closely, to read unspoken tensions, and to translate between worlds that rarely spoke the same language. Long before DEI was a corporate priority, I was embodying it.
A Life of Untraditional Leadership
Today, I lead global integrations, navigating corporate transitions, and building high-performing teams with a calm earned through lived experience. I have over 25 years of legal and operational leadership, including serving as Head of Legal, Compliance, IT & Security, Internal Audit, Procurement and leading M&A Integration at a global tech company. My expertise was built through grit, integrity, and relentless mastery of my craft. I created what I couldn’t find.
Anchored in Love, Guided by Faith
Behind the success is a deeply personal story of love, sacrifice, and family.
My brother, Wil, has been my anchor since childhood, the constant through every storm.
When instability fractured our family, we remained each other’s safe place. Wil later joined the military to help me raise my daughter, embodying a quiet, powerful love that continues to ground me to this day.
My daughters have been my north star. One I raised (Lindsay), another I placed for adoption (Lindsey). Both changed me forever. As a single mom, I learned to protect, build, and lead all at once. My daughters ignited a fire that made me fight harder, dream bigger, and redefine what legacy looks like.
And today, my husband is my best place. A partner who offers both fierce protection and tender peace. Our love is a testament to what happens when two different worlds come together and build something that honors both past and possibility. He's my everything.
Through it all, I know I wouldn’t be here without God. Even in the moments when I felt forgotten, I was being carried. My spirituality is not performative, it’s personal. It’s in how I lead, how I forgive, how I rise again and again. For some, that center may be called something different. But for me, it’s God. And everything I do flows from that center.
Everything grows with Love and Intention
My focus is to grow Suits & Pajamas™ into a full-fledged community rooted in storytelling, strategy, and support. A space where leaders, caregivers, creatives, and everyday truth-tellers can shed performance, process complexity, and show up whole as they are.
A space for those who are tired of compartmentalizing their ambition from their authenticity.
